Meg, Isn's she adorable? Sometimes I pick her up and hold her and think about Ethan. She loves to 'brincar' or joke around, and she's always tickling me or sneaking up on me.
The language is coming along. I had the good fortune to be placed in a language group where people were not afraid to try speaking in portuguese and where two of them were practically fluent in Spanish. This has helped me immensely. Already I can basically communicate anything I want to say (minus lots of vocab, which will come with time). My next goal is to get all the 'perfect' tenses down (i.e. 'had been' 'have gone,' etc.). Luckily, it's very similar to English that way.
Dude, call me. And tell Dad and Jackie to call me too. Mom's been good about calling and emailing me, but they're not, so give them a bit of hell for me.

Ali,
I love the picture of your little host sister listening to your i-pod!!! I'm happy to know that you're living with such good people.
By the way, how is the language coming along?
I miss you! I'll call you soon!
Meg
